01Your message
Write it your way
Start from a ready starter text, or write your own message and embed.
- Plain text, an embed you design, or both. The embed takes a title, colour, fields, footer, image and thumbnail.
- Four placeholders: {user}, {username}, {server} and {member_count}. Only the new member can be pinged.
- A live preview shows the post before you save it.

02Card
A card with a banner and buttons
One tidy post with a title, your text and the member’s avatar.
- The title starts as Welcome to {server}, {username}. Change it to anything.
- Add an optional banner image from a link you paste.
- Add up to 2 buttons that open a channel, such as your rules or roles.

03Welcome image
A welcome image for every member
Guardy draws a picture with the member’s big avatar, free on every plan.
- Your text goes above an image with the avatar, a headline and a subline.
- They start as {username} just joined the server and Member #{member_count}.
- Pick a Default, Aurora or Sunset background. Premium can set the frame colour.

04Goodbye
A quiet goodbye
Goodbye has its own channel, its own text and its own switch.
- Post a custom message or a small card.
- The card says how long they were here and how many members are left.
- A goodbye never pings anyone, even with {user}.

What owners ask before they turn on Welcome & Goodbye.
01Can welcome and goodbye messages use different channels?
Yes. Welcome and goodbye are set up separately, each with its own channel, message, look and on/off switch. Both start off until you turn them on.
02Can a welcome message include an embed?
Yes. The custom message look can use plain text, an embed, or both, and the dashboard shows a preview before you save it. You can also pick a card or a welcome image instead.
03Can Guardy Bot send a welcome image?
Yes, on every plan. Pick the welcome image look and Guardy Bot posts your text with an image of the new member’s avatar, a headline and a subline. Premium servers can change the frame colour; Free uses Guardy orange.
04Does Guardy welcome bots and held members?
Everyone who joins gets a welcome, bots included. If you use the join gate, a held member is welcomed once, after they pass it.
05Does pausing a message delete the draft?
No. Turning welcome or goodbye off stops future posts and keeps the saved channel, text and look ready to edit or turn on again.
