Suggestions · free on every plan
Let members suggest. Show them what you decided.
Members post ideas in a Discord forum, with no command to learn. Guardy adds a vote card, gives your staff a card to decide on, and tells each author when their idea moves.
- Nothing to learn
- Members just post in a forum
- One click to vote
- One vote each, never on your own idea
- Authors hear back
- A message when their idea moves

01Post and vote
Post an idea, vote with one click
Members make a post in your suggestions forum the normal Discord way. Guardy does the rest.
- Every new post gets a vote card with thumbs up and thumbs down buttons and live counts. Posts that were already in the forum before setup are left alone.
- One vote each. Click the same button again to take it back, or the other one to switch. Members cannot vote on their own idea.
- The post gets an Open tag straight away, so everyone can see where it stands.

02Staff decide
A private card for your staff
Each idea also gets a card in a private staff channel, with a thread to talk it over.
- Five buttons: Under review, Approve, Implemented, Decline and Reopen.
- Each opens a short form for a reason members see. Declining always needs a reason; for the rest it is optional.
- On the dashboard, staff see every idea sorted by most votes, filter by state, and decide from there too.

03Hear back
Authors always hear back
When staff move an idea, the post, its tag and its author all catch up.
- The author gets a direct message with the new state and the reason. If their DMs are closed, Guardy mentions them in their own post instead.
- The post’s tag and vote card change to match: Open, Under review, Approved, Implemented or Declined.
- Implemented and Declined close voting. The discussion in the post stays open, and staff can reopen an idea at any time.

Suggestions questions
Quick answers.
What owners ask before they turn on Suggestions.
01Do members need a command to make a suggestion?
No. They create a post in the suggestions forum the normal Discord way, and Guardy adds the vote card. Posts that were already in the forum before setup are left alone.
02Who can approve or decline a suggestion?
Anyone with Manage Server, plus up to 25 staff roles you choose on the dashboard. They decide from the staff card in Discord or from the dashboard. Declining always needs a reason, and the other states can carry one too.
03What happens when voting closes?
Implemented and Declined close voting on the card. The discussion in the post stays open, and staff can reopen an idea at any time.
04How do I set it up?
Turn on Suggestions on the dashboard. It starts off. Let Guardy create a suggestions forum with the five state tags and a private staff channel, or pick ones you already have.
05Can members suggest anonymously?
No. Discord shows who started every forum post, so each suggestion appears under the member’s name.
06Is Suggestions free?
Yes. Suggestions is free on every plan, with no limits.
