Custom Discord bot name
and avatar, no token needed.
Premium servers can give the shared Guardy Bot a server-specific nickname, avatar, and profile banner, and a custom colour for its posts, from Settings → Bot identity in the dashboard. No bot token, no Discord Developer Portal, and no second bot to manage.
What changes in your server
Guardy Bot, dressed for your server.
A custom identity only changes what your server sees. Everything else about Guardy Bot stays the same.
A server‑specific nickname
Set a nickname up to 32 characters. Discord shows it in the member list and on every message Guardy Bot sends in your server.A custom avatar
Upload a PNG, JPEG, or WebP image up to 8 MB. Guardy Bot crops it to a 512×512 square, re-encodes it, and removes hidden data.
A profile banner
Add a wide banner (1360×480, at least 600×240) that appears when a member opens Guardy Bot’s profile card.No bot token required
Everything is set from the dashboard. You never create a Discord application, generate a token, or open the Developer Portal.Contained to your server
DMs, every other server, the slash-command list, and Guardy Bot’s name, profile, and bio outside your server stay standard.Reset restores Guardy Bot
Reset to Guardy Bot restores the normal name, picture, and banner, and deletes the saved images, on every plan.
Compare the setup, not just the result
No application. No token. No second bot.
Some Discord bots that offer a custom name and avatar, including MEE6’s Bot Personalizer, ask you to create your own Discord application in the Developer Portal and paste its bot token into their dashboard. Guardy Bot’s Bot Identity works entirely from the Guardy Bot dashboard: no application, no token, and no second bot to keep online.

Bot identity questions
The practical answers.
A quick check of how the module works before you add it to your server.
01Do I need to create my own Discord bot or paste a token?
No. Bot identity is set entirely from the Guardy Bot dashboard. Some other bots, including MEE6’s Bot Personalizer, require creating your own Discord application and pasting a bot token; Guardy Bot does not.
02Will other servers see the new name and avatar?
No. DMs, every other server, Guardy Bot’s slash-command list, and its name, profile, and bio outside your server stay the standard Guardy Bot.
03How often can I change the avatar or banner?
Discord limits how often a bot’s picture can change, so Guardy Bot applies a new avatar or banner at most once every 10 minutes. A reset back to Guardy Bot’s normal picture is immediate and does not wait for that cooldown.
04Can I change the colour of Guardy Bot’s posts?
Yes, on Premium. Settings → Bot identity also sets one accent colour for Guardy Bot’s community posts, such as welcome cards, level-up cards and role menus. Free servers use Guardy orange. If Premium ends, new posts go back to Guardy orange.
05What happens if Premium ends for my server?
Guardy Bot goes back to its normal name, picture, and banner in that server. Your saved settings are kept and come back automatically if Premium becomes active again.
06What if a moderator renames Guardy Bot in Discord?
Guardy Bot never overrides that change on its own. Settings → Bot identity tells you the nickname was changed in Discord, and you choose: Apply again to bring back your saved name, or Keep Discord’s nickname to leave the new one in place.
07What names or images are not allowed?
Discord refuses names or images that imitate Discord, Discord staff or system messages, or other bots. Guardy Bot may reset an identity that breaks Discord’s rules and remove the server’s access to the feature.
