Write it once, post it on time
Set up the poll on the dashboard. Post it now, or pick a time.
- Choose the channel, the question (up to 300 characters) and 1 to 10 answers of up to 55 characters each. These are Discord’s own poll limits.
- Keep it open from 1 hour to 32 days (768 hours), and let members pick one answer or several.
- Members vote in Discord’s own poll, not a reaction count. Guardy Bot needs the Create Polls permission in that channel.

End it early. Keep the result.
You decide when voting stops, and the answer stays findable.
- End now on the dashboard closes a live poll in Discord within moments. You confirm first.
- When voting closes, Guardy Bot saves Discord’s answer counts with the poll and keeps them updated while Discord finishes the tally.
- A poll waiting to post can be cancelled, and one that failed to post can be retried.

01Are these native Discord polls?
Yes. Members vote in Discord’s own poll. Guardy Bot adds the editor, scheduling, ending early and saved results around it.
02Can a poll be scheduled in advance?
Yes. Choose the channel, question, answers, posting time, duration from 1 hour to 32 days, and whether members may select more than one answer.
03Can I end a poll early?
Yes. Open the poll on the dashboard and choose End now. Guardy Bot closes voting in Discord within moments and saves the result.
04Does Guardy Bot keep poll results?
Yes. After voting closes, Guardy Bot captures the native answer counts and keeps them with the past poll. If someone deletes the poll message before the result is saved, that result is lost.
