Server Counters · one counter free
Your server's numbers, right in the channel list.
Server Counters turn channel names into live stats: members, online, boosts, a member goal and more. Guardy updates them every 10 minutes, so the numbers stay fresh without running into Discord’s rename limit.
- 10 stats to show off
- Members, online, boosts, a member goal and more
- Updates itself
- Set it once, the numbers stay fresh
01What to count
Ten counters, one glance
Pick what to count. Guardy keeps the channel name current.
- Members, Humans, Bots, Online, Boosts, Boost level, Channels, Roles, Members with a role you choose, and a member Goal.
- Write the name yourself: {count} is the number, {goal} the goal (Goal only), {role} the role’s name (Members with a role only). Show numbers in full (1,234) or short (1.2K).
- A Goal reads like Goal: 412 / 500. You pick the step, from 10 to 100,000, and the goal moves up as you grow.
Example counters with their name templates, as set on the dashboard.
02Setup
A stats category in one click
Let Guardy make the channels, or use ones you already have.
- Guardy can create a Server stats category with locked voice channels: members see the numbers but cannot join.
- Online is Discord’s own estimate of members online, the same number an invite to your server shows.
- Discord allows only two renames per channel every 10 minutes, so Guardy updates every 10 minutes and only renames a channel when its number changed.

Server Counters questions
Quick answers.
What owners ask before they turn on Server Counters.
01What does the Online counter count?
Discord’s own estimate of members online, the same number an invite to your server shows. It is an estimate, so it can differ a little from the member list.
02Is Server Counters free?
Yes. Free includes one counter of any type, Online and Goal included. Want more than one? Premium gives you up to 25 counters per server. If a server goes back to Free, only its oldest counter keeps updating; the extra counters keep their last number and start updating again when it upgrades.
03What permissions does Guardy need?
View Channel, Connect and Manage Channels, so it can see the counter channels and rename them.
04Does Guardy store member data for counters?
No. Guardy stores only the counter settings. To count humans, bots or members with a role, it reads the member list in memory and keeps just the number.
