Is the Minecraft server up? Check Discord.
Keep your world’s status and player count where your community already hangs out. Guardy updates the post for you, with optional alerts when your server stops responding and comes back.
- Java and Bedrock
- Use your public server address
- One post that stays current
- Checks about every 3 minutes
- Five monitors free
- Included on every plan
01Connect your world
Your server address. Your Discord channel.
Set up monitoring from the same dashboard you use for the rest of your community.
- Choose Java or Bedrock, enter the public server address and pick the status channel. Give it a friendly name if you like.
- Use Test connection to preview the connection. No Minecraft plugin, RCON password or AI credits required.
- Guardy keeps one status post updated about every 3 minutes. Members see the reading and when it was checked.
Example setup. Add a custom port if your host requires one.
02Keep players informed
Fewer “is it down?” messages.
Let members check for themselves, and choose how much your channel hears from Guardy.
- Members use /minecraft status for a private reply with the latest saved reading. If you monitor several worlds, they choose the server.
- Turn on optional connection and recovery alerts in the status channel. Guardy waits for three failed checks before sending an alert, so a brief hiccup stays quiet.
- Want a glance from the channel list? Choose an existing voice channel for a combined status and player-count indicator, updated about every 10 minutes.
Command/minecraft status
A status check reports what Guardy can reach. It does not control or restart your server.

Minecraft questions
Quick answers.
What owners ask before they turn on Minecraft.
01Does this work with Java and Bedrock?
Yes. Choose the edition and enter a public server address. Local-only servers and Minecraft Realms are not supported.
02Do I need a plugin or RCON password?
No. Guardy reads the public status response. You do not give it access to the Minecraft console or install anything on your Minecraft server.
03How often does the status update?
Guardy checks about every 3 minutes. Optional voice channel counters update about every 10 minutes. The status post shows when the check happened; /minecraft status reads that saved result.
04Does “Not responding” mean my server is definitely offline?
It means Guardy could not get a status response. A restart, firewall or network problem can also cause this. Connection alerts wait for three consecutive failed checks and are followed by a recovery alert when the server responds again.
05Can I move from MCStatusBot?
Yes. Recreate each monitor using its edition and public address, then choose where Guardy should display it. There is no automatic import. Our replacement guide walks you through setup and checking the result.
