01Step away
A little context goes a long way.
Tell your community what you want them to know, with as much or as little detail as you like.
- Use /afk on its own, or add a short reason of up to 200 characters.
- The confirmation is private. Your reason is shown when someone mentions you, so share only what you want others to read.
- Choose an optional duration, from 30 minutes to 30 days, so your status ends on time.
- Use Clear AFK in your private confirmation or send a message in that server. Run /afk again to replace your status.

What owners ask before they turn on AFK.
01Do I need to set up AFK in the dashboard?
No. Members use /afk directly in a server where Guardy is installed and Discord permits the command. AFK is free on every plan.
02How do I turn my AFK status off?
Use Clear AFK in your private confirmation, or send a message in that server where Guardy can see it. A message accepted by Guardy’s moderation clears the status. Your status expires after the duration you choose, or after 30 days if you leave it empty.
03Will every mention send a reply?
Not every time. Guardy limits repeated notices to keep busy conversations readable. Bot messages, webhook messages and self-mentions do not trigger notices.
