Community events · free on every plan
Turn “we should play” into a plan.
Give game nights, watch parties and community sessions a time and a place. Guardy posts the invitation, collects RSVPs and reminds the channel before you start.
- An invitation in Discord
- RSVP counts and a participant list
- A timely reminder
- One hour before, in your channel
- Make it a regular thing
- Weekly repeats, with a skip option
01Make a plan
The details that get people together.
Create your event from the dashboard, using the same familiar controls as the rest of Guardy.
- Choose an event name, start time and channel. Add a place or a few details if they help.
- Members choose Going or Maybe, and can clear their response. See counts on the invitation and open the participant list to find out who is coming.
- Add an optional capacity. When Going places are full, new Going responses join a waitlist and move up as places open.
- Keep the one-hour channel reminder on, or switch it off. No personal DMs or mass mentions.
Example event details. The date picker uses your server’s timezone.
02Meet again
Same time next week?
Make a good night a regular part of your community.
- Turn on weekly repeats to keep the same local weekday and time, including across daylight-saving changes.
- Each week gets a new invitation and fresh RSVPs. The next invitation goes out when the current event starts.
- Skip one week without losing your regular event. Edit the current invitation or cancel the whole series from the dashboard.
Weekly events follow the timezone saved when you create the series.

Community events questions
Quick answers.
What owners ask before they turn on Community events.
01Does Guardy create a Discord Scheduled Event?
Guardy posts its own invitation with RSVP buttons in a text or announcement channel. It does not create a native Discord Scheduled Event.
02Who can see my RSVP?
Members who can view the invitation’s channel can open the participant list. Your confirmation opens privately, but your response is shared with those channel members.
03What happens when an event is full?
With a capacity set, choosing Going joins the waitlist when all places are taken. Guardy promotes the longest-waiting member when a place opens. Maybe does not take a place. Updates appear on the invitation; Guardy does not send personal DMs.
04What if I create an event less than an hour before it starts?
Guardy posts the invitation without an extra reminder. Events created further ahead can receive the optional one-hour reminder.
05Can I edit a repeating event?
Yes. Edits update the existing invitation and keep current RSVPs. Skip this occurrence keeps the series for next week. Cancelling stops the whole series. A reminder that was already sent is not sent again when you edit the time.
