Discord server backups · free on every plan
Back up your Discord setup. Restore only what you need.
Keep the roles and channels you spent time setting up. Save a snapshot, choose the missing parts to recreate, and review every addition before it happens. Existing channels and roles stay unchanged.
- Five saved snapshots
- Free, with no AI credits
- You choose what comes back
- Preview before creating
- For server owners
- Guardy needs Administrator
01Keep your setup
Before the next big change, save a snapshot.
A channel layout takes time to get right. Keep a named copy of the supported setup in Settings → Backups & templates.
- Save regular roles, categories and supported text, voice, announcement and forum channels, with their supported settings and permissions.
- Give the snapshot a name, or keep the server name and date. Saving it makes no changes in Discord.
- Keep five snapshots per server. You decide when to save and which old snapshots to remove.
Example snapshot details. These are setup snapshots, not message-history backups.
02Recover what is missing
One deleted channel should not mean starting over.
Select what you want back. Guardy shows the missing channels, categories and roles it needs to create, while keeping everything that still exists.
- Nothing starts selected on your first preview. Choose a channel and see the roles or category it depends on.
- Inspect the saved settings and permission rules. When a permission mismatch blocks a channel, see what differs before continuing.
- Review selected items shows the destination and exact additions. Keep the page open while restoring. If interrupted, a fresh preview keeps your unfinished choices that are still available.
- Recreated items have new Discord IDs. The completion checklist helps you reconnect Guardy settings, assign roles and check the order yourself.
Example recovery preview. Restore does not edit existing objects or remove current ones.
03Keep a useful starting point
Your setup can become your next server’s template.
Run more than one community? Use a saved snapshot in another server you own, then pick the parts that belong there.
- Use in another server opens a fresh preview for that destination. You must currently own both servers.
- Your saved setup stays a private template. No public gallery or share link.
- Existing same-named channels and roles are kept. Guardy creates separate objects and shows unavailable dependencies before you apply.
Private saved templates are separate from Guardy’s five ready-made Server planner templates.
Backup questions
Know what your backup brings back.
A quick check of how the module works before you add it to your server.
01Does this restore everything in my Discord server?
No. Snapshots save supported roles, categories and channel setup. They do not include messages, attachments, member role assignments or Guardy settings. Preview shows unavailable items and their reasons before you apply.
02Will restoring change my existing channels or roles?
No. Restore recreates only selected missing items and their required dependencies. Existing objects stay unchanged. It does not roll back edits or delete anything to make the server match an old snapshot.
03Who can save and use a snapshot?
The Discord server owner, with Guardy given Administrator. Using a snapshot in another server requires current ownership of both servers. Discord role hierarchy still applies.
04Do my welcome messages and alerts reconnect automatically?
No. Recreated channels and roles have new Discord IDs. Choose them again in any Guardy settings that pointed to the deleted objects. Recreated roles are not automatically assigned to members. The completion checklist helps you reconnect Guardy settings, assign roles and check their order yourself.
05How much does it cost?
Five saved snapshots per server are free on every plan, with no AI credits. Save snapshots manually before changes. At the limit, delete a snapshot you no longer need; Guardy never replaces one automatically.
