Quick start

From install to the first earned XP.

Set up the smallest understandable system first. You can add multipliers, reward ladders, and public pages after the basic loop feels right.

1. Install Guardy

   Open the Discord install flow Use a server where you can manage the guild. Do not grant Administrator; give only the channel, message, attachment, reaction, and role permissions required by the features you enable.

2. Open the dashboard

   Sign in with Discord, choose the server, and confirm Guardy can see the channels and roles you intend to use. Guardy re-checks your Discord-side permission before saving guild settings.

3. Choose clear XP rules

   Set the message XP range and cooldown, then decide whether eligible voice activity earns XP. Exclude staff, bot, command, or off-topic areas with role and channel no-XP zones when needed.

4. Test as a member

   Send an eligible message, wait for the configured cooldown, and run /rank. Join an eligible voice channel with another non-bot member if voice XP is enabled. Use /levelsto check the all-time ordering.

5. Explain the controls

   Tell members how XP works and link the privacy policy. Public leaderboard participation can be changed with /privacy leaderboard on|off without changing in-server XP or rank.

Next choice: start fresh or import

A new server can begin immediately. A community leaving another leveling bot should use the import preview before changing its live setup.
